How hereditary is IQ
I have not seen the last figures, but we have estimated 60-70%
If IQ in some degree is hereditary, its possible there could be
differences in the average on different populations as far as IQ
One cannot dismiss this possibility
We are different when it comes to height and weight
depending on what populations we are from
Why should not we think there could be small differences
when it comes to matters concerning intelligence
This is a bit scary. Could there be innate differences in average
when it comes to intelligence
Let's first find the smartest population
Because one population stand out
Despite the fact that Jews made up no more than two and three percent of the American population
they are made up 50% of the top 200 intellectuals , 40% of the Nobel prize winners in science and economics, 20% of the professors of the top universities , 40% of the partners in the top New York and DC law firms , 59% of the writers directors producers , 50 top grossing movies, 37% of the winners of the National Medal of Science and 50% of the world chess champions.
Could it be that the Jews are born smarter than other populations ?
I think that sound really corny

So why have Ashkenazy Jews become so smart ?

Christians in Europe were for a long time prohibited from banking and finance
This was then left to the Jews
During most of the middle ages, the Ashkenazi had what with that I would call white collar jobs
Jobs that were not involving your hands and your back for the most part of bookwork accounting
sometime money lending
estate management
trade
and being a merchant
but 90 something 90% of them did job like that
that was not true of anyone else in the world
there was no population which virtually everybody was a white collar worker
other than this one
Among other Europeans it was not the most intelligent
that necessarily became the richest and most powerful

But among the Jews , the way you made money was by success in those white collar occupations
which today at least the intelligence is help you succeed at that.
The theory is that in the Jewish population
the smartest ones were the most successful
They had the most surviving children and they spread their IQ genes
in the rest of the Jewish population
Those with lower IQ got fewer surviving children
and after a while the whole Jewish population had genes for high IQ
It does not have to be extremely horrible for this pattern have happened because you only need small changes in each generation
there might be forty generation over a thousand years
If you increase a third of IQ point for each generation
that would almost certainly be enough to make this effect happen
This is still a hypothesis that has not been properly tested
If it is right It is good news for the Jews
But one thing is bothering me
It implies that some groups are not a smart huh
You do not have to think that would be true

That is a dangerous idea such a pleasant

in intelligence
